Its all about me!!!

I went to a Technical high school, obtaining 7 O'levels in Engineering drawing, Mathematics, Metalwork, Physics, Chemistry, Commerce and English Language. I left school and went to Bucks College of Higher Education in High Wycombe. I obtained an OND in Technology and a HNC in electrical and electronic engineering.

During my time at college I worked during the holidays in local manufacturer's and a local farm. A company Vitramon Ltd in Woburn Green, paid for my HNC Course and gave me paid time off to attend college one day a week. I was working at Vitramon in the maintenance department, tool making, welding etc. At the local farm I was farm labourer.

My first full time job was working for The Ministry of Defence at ML Aviation Ltd as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

A great job but the pay was poor, with a young family I moved on.

I then worked for Xerox as a Field Service Engineer in London, this entailed going into Great Portland Street everyday. It was not an easy commute as I was living in Marlow at the time. I then had the opportunity to work for a International company Harris Graphics Ltd, I started as a Field Service engineer, then assistant Service Mannager. I was then promoted to Service Manager looking after 10 engineers, along with Spares and Technical department.

During my time as a Service Engineer and Manager I travelled the globe carrying out work in many countries.

In 1988 I set up my own business GRAPHIC ENGINEERING, where  we supply services to the Print Finishing Industry.

As a Bindery Service Engineer, have years of experience of repairing many makes and types of book bindery equipment.

Personally I spent my youth as an aspiring Rock star playing Bass and singing in a local Band.

Inspired by the Falklands war, I joined the Territorial Army achieveing the rank of Lieutenant and then went onto be a detachment commander in the Army cadets. I also achieved qualifications as a diving instructor, obtained my Private Pilot license and my Power boat skippers license. I have a great extended family which includes my wife Jainie, 4 daughters, 3 sons and 4 grandchildren and two Newfoundland dogs Bear and Penelope. The wife has a cat!!!
